Liliia Kholomeniuk
Ukraine · “Echoing Freedom: The Soul of the Unconquered.”
Liliia Kholomeniuk is a Ukrainian pianist from Chernivtsi and an Honored Artist of Ukraine (2021). Trained at the Chernivtsi State College of Arts and later at the Donetsk State Academy of Music, she has worked since 2004 with the Chernivtsi Regional Philharmonic — first as a concertmaster in the "Chernivtsi" Chamber Choir and then as pianist of the Chernivtsi Symphony Orchestra. A prize-winning concertmaster and soloist — including first place at the international "Virtuoso" competition and the regional Sidi Tal art prize — she has performed across Ukraine, Moldova, Spain, Italy, France, Germany and Korea, and taken part in festivals from Bukovynsky November to Louis Levandowski in Berlin. Her solo programmes — among them "Soul of the Unconquered", "Art in Camouflage" and "Geometry of the Soul" — reflect a deep engagement with memory, resilience and Ukrainian identity, extended through charity concerts in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
David Vinazza
Slovenia / Netherlands · “We listen to music as background noise, while background noise can be listened to as music.”
David Vinazza is a guitarist, sound artist and composer, born in Slovenia in 1998 and based in the Netherlands. Working across performance, improvisation and interdisciplinary practice, he explores the relationships between sound, space, environment and human presence, creating experiences that expand how we listen. He holds a bachelor's degree in jazz from the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen and has completed his Master in music at NAIP (New Audience & Innovative Practices), where his artistic research — Environment Becomes Music — improvises with everyday sound to encourage sonic awareness. His recent work ranges from the Kissing Nature installation at the Oranjewoud Festival to the experimental music-and-dance project Fi!Da?Li* and the post-ambient album Drowning in Valhalla. At the heart of his practice lies a simple provocation: that the line between music and noise is ours to redraw.
Mirian Kolev
Bulgaria · “An expressive soundtrack of time and space.”
Mirian Kolev is a Bulgarian musician, composer and multidisciplinary artist working in experimental, electroacoustic, ambient and improvisational music and sound art. He uses sound as a tool to explore different environments, uncovering the hidden sonic landscapes where the human-made and organic worlds meet. Long inspired by nature, in recent years he has engaged with the environment directly — through field recordings and sound-generating devices, alongside processed guitar and small machines in live performance. His music is minimalist, atmospheric and discreetly psychedelic, with improvisation at its core, turning each concert into an expressive soundtrack of time and space. He has performed across Europe, Asia and beyond, and since 2020 has focused on conceptual projects rooted in acoustic ecology and its many manifestations.
Patricia Marchiș
Romania · “Metamorphosis: shaping the sound of transformation.”
Patricia Marchiș is a Romanian saxophonist, composer and bandleader based in Cluj-Napoca. She is the founder of Marquis Collective, a jazz-fusion group at the meeting point of jazz, rock and classical music, whose album Metamorphosis was released in 2025 (Sunset Sunside, Paris) ahead of a 2026 Romanian tour. Her honours include Best Show at the Mittelyoung Awards 2024 (Cividale del Friuli, Italy) and the Remarkable Musician prize at the Jazz in the Park International Competition (2023). As a classical soloist she has appeared with orchestras including the London City Philharmonic and the "Transilvania" State Philharmonic, and given recitals from the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona to the Romania Pavilion at Osaka Expo 2025. A doctoral candidate at the Gheorghe Dima National Music Academy, she also composes for theatre and interdisciplinary performance — music that is, in her own spirit, a metamorphosis: dynamic, fluid and radiant on stage.
Csaba Pethő
Hungary · “Exploring the intersections of acoustics, electroacoustics and psychoacoustics.”
Csaba Pethő is a guitarist, composer and producer whose work bridges rigorous classical training with jazz, rock, blues and electronic composition. Born in 1997 and formed between Romania and Hungary, he began playing classical guitar at the age of ten before studying at the Béla Bartók Conservatory and the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, from which he graduated in 2022; he also holds a classical guitar degree from the Gheorghe Dima National Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca. Named "Discovery of the Year 2022" by JazzMa.hu and twice awarded "Revelation of the Year" by Romania's Muzza Foundation (2019 and 2020), Csaba is drawn to the intersections of acoustics, electroacoustics and psychoacoustics, treating music as both a craft and a field of research. For ECHOES, he continues that search — listening for new ways to shape how we perceive sound.
